Rainbow Feathers Bird Club and Rescue is a non-profit organization in Southeast Michigan for those who love birds and their well-being. Our mission is to promote, educate, and assist in the care of exotic birds as well as to support avian research and address environmental concerns. Our volunteers assist in rescuing and rehoming birds, as well as help with educational programs for the public. Our club holds monthly meetings where we meet with other bird owners and bird enthusiasts.

We also have a yearly bird fair where we raise money to support club projects which include:

  • Scholarships for avian veterinary students at Michigan State University

  • Donations to various avian research projects

  • Club membership in the AFA, the World Parrot Trust, and the Amazona Society

  • A library for club members. We have many educational and enjoyable books about birds from finches to large hook bills.
